SEGA should have taken the right lesson from Sonic 06 and learned to make each Sonic game basically Final Fantasy where Sonic and friends are just in various incredibly alien human worlds and Dr. Eggman kidnaps some princess or priestess or whatever for increasingly nebulous reasons.

You can still have the power of GEMRALDS and robots powered by woodland critters. All I know is that I saw the Sonic 06 intro cinematic for the first time and I thought it was the coolest thing ever because I was a dumb kid and wasn't autistic enough for me to think the furshit was anything but lame and gay.

Get in on that Kingdom Hearts cringekino. Sonic seemingly can't compete with Mario when it comes to baby game plots and always has some pretensions of being something deeper; just take the full dive already and make it incredibly lore intensive for no reason with serviceable gameplay and you'll expand the autismsphere, I'm sure. :tumble:

The only reason I said I'd move your shit is that I didn't think you'd give a SMURF. Partially because you didn't seem to care about the existence of /frb/ at all even though it implied that we were trying to get you to stop posting this kind of shit here. I'd imagine simply moving your shit would be tedium enough for you to consider it a fair trade but apparently not.

If you're going to dig your feet into the ground and start editing posts of spite, it's not worth the effort.

I'd prefer if this place wasn't just the backwash of /pol/ culture war autism among other things but the broth can't be helped.

Anyway, >>>/frb/ :batter:

>Implying in-comic date has to always correlate to real time dates because of autism
>Or that their birthdays have to be the introduction
Not even the Beta kids followed that pattern because all of them are December babies and I don't think a single one of them was revealed in December.

Karkat's birthday wasn't even relevant at all. It literally just served as a meaningless parallel. :coolidea:

>LARP
How is it a larp exactly? I'm not going around and labeling myself a dicsordian, I've only made one mention of how I used to look at a forum that was centered around the topic. SMURF's sake, are you a LARPer for enjoying black metal music? Stop making up things to be mad about. I'm not even mad myself, I'm just exasperated how genuine your chagrin towards certain things can be for no justification other than "I know how these people operate". I genuinely cannot understand the thought process sometimes.

>if a female character fits the billing of, say, a prince of time in the actions she's done, in her personality, and in her quest towards enlightenment then i really don't see why she can't be given that mythological role
There is no billing. The system has nothing and has no internal consistency. See: /hot/
> it's autism over certain creative visions being railroaded - but i suspect your autism stems from wanting to stay true to the system to the letter as it was originally formulated instead, which is fine
I don't think it was the original intent but I do think gender-locking roles serves an higher artistic purpose in a SBurb/Homestuck that's good.

The classes should be confining, not quasi-descriptive.

dumb
if a female character fits the billing of, say, a prince of time in the actions she's done, in her personality, and in her quest towards enlightenment then i really don't see why she can't be given that mythological role
it's not laziness from a lack of trying, it's autism over certain creative visions being railroaded - but i suspect your autism stems from wanting to stay true to the system to the letter as it was originally formulated instead, which is fine
of course calling a female a "prince" is unfitting, which is why i prefer a simple aesthetic name swap like "princess"

>Rose's needles
Sewing needles that shoot magic. Cute and fun joke.
>Dave's various swords
Literally just a bunch of swords of varying funny and/or cool designs. The Caledscratch has a gimmick but it has no real function in-universe and the sord is funny but that's it. You would think Dave would have the White Ranger explosion autism katana because katana man, time powers, and 90s nostalgia but nope. The biggest thing we get with Dave's swords are “swords broken in half lmao.” The sacred and the propane. Very allegorical. I'm really impressed by the facet of Homestuck's writing that is “Dave's swords are broken in half” but what happened to the fun powers? We're out of fun ideas FOR THE VIDEOGAME once we hit Dave, get used to it, asshole.
>GREEN's guns
Frankly, so fucking boring that I forgot she even bothered to upgrade it. My eyes did light up when I saw the STOLEN ASSET gun which was amusing (but never used) and seemed out of Hu¢¢ie's wheelhouse (probably something solely from user feedback.) GREEN just becoming Iron Man with dog ears would have been a cool, little symbolic thing for her because it symbolizes her embodying all her other selves (dream and robot)- forget the Green Sun autism, why power her up so much?

We can have the technicality that only a First Guardian can use the Green Sun and if you fucking throw them in a sprite, they're solely just recognized as a sprite (and then the sprite powers power up the suit and gun because that's fun) Like a videogame, you know. But instead, Hu¢¢ie wanted shonentards drooling at GREEN's POWER GO UP and she does nothing because hahaha, of course, lmao. Even with my wildest conjectures, I can't imagine where Hu¢¢ie was going or what he wanted when he gave Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

I was just a kid that was always promised it but never got it either due to money or a lack of retention… It's a little demoralizing for a kid to sort of feel like their childhood was never lived because they were an afterthought…

But I digress… It's just a way of me doing what I wanted to do as a kid but never got to… :grr:

Unfortunately, I get the impression that long thoughtful writings here are most often either ignored or replied to dismissively ("Was it autism?") unless they're part of an argument.
Plus, writings like these will typically only engage people already interested in the topic. I DO find those linked posts interesting, but I feel like most people probably don't.
