The very best thing about Homestuck vs. Watchmen is that Homestuck by far took far more people, time, money, and manpower and it is ostensibly less in every sense. More people drew on Homestuck, more people contributed music, more people had to animate and program for this "auteur"'s vision (even writing we can say is "suspect" at best.) Watchmen was only three dudes. And how much more money was poured into Homestuck to get that sweatshop animation ending? It's estimated to be at least in the thousands. And which one is remembered by the public, actually acclaimed, which one do you think will actually be remembered in 50 years? Which one got a (shitty) show and movie? Which one got A FUCKING FINISHED GAME? 7 years, countless dollars, countless favors, and a 1+ million dollar Patreon for a game that has fucking less than 4 hours of gameplay, what, a decade later now? Which actually has a fandom instead of consisting of at least 40% of trend-hopping "skip to trolls (and then skim") secondary teenyboppers and 30% jilted lovers? Homestuck also is objectively less in content than Watchmen- you know why Hu¢¢ie was able to shit out so many single panel sprite pages? Because they're easy to make. Compare the length of the Acts on the website to the lengths of the books- they're basically cut in half (and bloated by Hu¢¢ie's babbling commentary.) And even then, if Hu¢¢ie did ever finish the books, you'd have to be extremely generous to say that there are "roughly 3,000 fully paneled pages worth of content" in Homestuck. There is less in every single part of Homestuck than the some 413+1 (not counting the mixed media pages) pages in Watchmen. This is your legacy, Hu¢¢ie, you absolute failure of an artist.
