My favorite thing about Homestuck is that it doesn't even do the "Intentionally tedious dragged anti-comedy that gets exponentially funnier when it is funny because it feels more cathartic" well. Because Hu¢¢ie doesn't know how to be funny in a concise way. What's an actually somewhat decent version of that? That's On Cinema, at the cinema.
As much as I (personally) hate Tim And Eric (blowhard- probably also a nepetaphile- and nepetaphile) and how repetitive their shtick can get (and how they ruined an entire generation of comedy), I can still say they made some funny stuff and are (Tim and Gregg) better at doing "the thing" that Homestuck devolved into for roughly 60% of its run-time.
Tim's fucking lazy shitpost with even less pretenses of being an actual story still has more consistent character writing and better character development than Homestuck, holy shit, it's unreal.

I know that Dustborn has been dragged to death with people criticizing its plot, character design, characters etc. but I saw a LP of it and this one thing stuck in my mind, and I don't think that anyone of the other reviewers has mentioned this:
The fucking "silos".
The hydroponic farm things in California at the start of the game make NO fucking sense.
First of all, you're building a massive underground building just so you could… grow crops in it. Instead of, you know, growing them on the surface, or having a greenhouse so that they can have actual light, instead of having to use electricity to run lamps. Even if it was totally clean solar powered, it would still be less efficient and much more expensive than normal farming.
On top of that, the layout of the silo is fucking retarded as well. You go down an elevator and
wwalk THROUGH the area with the crops to get to the office, the bathroom, and the secret Resistance™ library with the banned books in it. This is a biosecurity nightmare, since everyone who wants to go to the office has to go into the crop growing area. This greatly increases the chance that someone will accidentally bring a crop-killing disease into the silo and ruin everything. There's no form of decontamination as you go into the facility either.
Oh and DID I MENTION that these areas are all separate and linked ONLY through the crop growing area. You have to go through the crops again to get to any of the other rooms. If you're in the office and you need to take a shit? Go through the crops again, and hope that you washed your hands properly before the return trip, otherwise you just contaminated your crops with fecal matter. One of the characters in the game actually DOES have to go to the bathroom from the office, so I have no idea why the developers didn't realize that all their brave Resistance™ fighters are gonna be shitting their guts out from cholera.
I'm starting to think that the Dustborn developers are sheltered urbanites who have never seen a farm in their life.
