There's a decent amount of RNG and nobody's going to sit here and tell you and tell you Fallout's combat is good but it isn't terrible. There's an initial hump in 1 and 2 with their tedious opening sections and from there, it's pretty even-handed save for a couple things.
If those couple of things make the combat bad for you or ruin the game, then you weren't cut out for CRPGs, simple as.

There are some great riffs and solos here though their later album is certainly a lot more extreme and let's say "tonally full", It's also lacking a lot of those folksier elements (well, that ultimately means the riffs are less black metal-y) and there's a weird synth section. I think I ultimately prefer this one but I'm not so sure.
