In general though, time travel in Homestuck is fucking terrible for innumerable reasons.

Fantastic Four is something I want to put in a bubble with Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and Jack Kirby's brains in a jar. If I keep it going indefinitely or not is up to me.
Spiderman is something that I want to purify because he blew up big and hard and he was just one guy and there was a lot of good things about him but there was a lot of executive and editor meddling and blah blah blah. I feel like we never got the Spiderman that was free of all the rotten shit of the continuity (and hey, I still like the little web wings.)
I could try to put into Fallout terms but fuck that. That doesn't really work because I think Fallout as a franchise should have ended with 1 and then 2 would have just been Wasteland 2.
But, roughly, Fantastic Four is Fallout and Spiderman is New Vegas. I like Captain America too. He's kind of unrelated to everything but he's another one of those evergreen characters that stay quality because people actually respect the restrictions of character-writing around him (like Spiderman) up until a certain part. Captain America has consistently remained a SUPERHERO despite being surrounded by capeshit espionage and that, I think, is worth commending a little.
All of the characters that I liked independently kind of carried this aura of impenetrability that I think speaks to something to comics as a medium and how to write them properly.
It's the teams that got fucked over, and why? I don't know. I say it's The Sue Problem but The Avengers also got raped pretty bad and let's not get started on The X-Men. Perhaps, if I were to make a comic deconstructionrino, it'd focus on "Why teams bad" similar to how The Boys is about celebrity and Watchmen is about vigilantism, primairly.
