Also, according to G. Pete, there really is no good reason why they're greasers because "punks" were in the game and got cut and the rationale was "well theyre kind of too close to bullies and townies" which greasers are kind of even closer to.
I think the reason greasers were kept while punks got cut is that Rockstar was doing an ironic funny, secondly, and primarily to mask some of the more transgressive content with absurdism because "how can you take x seriously when greasers are randomly still a thing" because I think a version where "greasers" were "punks" instead would be taken exponentially more seriously such that its reputation would be completely different. People kind of overlook how dark a lot of the comedy in Bully is and just view it as this wacky game where you give people swirlies and take annoying bitches on dates.
So, yeah, that's probably the reason. Not a great one but it is what is.

Gamzee and Eridan are vaguely amusing when you consider their personalities? IDK.
But you've heard this before. We should have been getting The Felt instead of sprite mode. Granted them being literal game sprites is intentional and requires them to be somewhat homogeneous so we could just change the head shapes and have so much more character. But I digress.
I think Hu¢¢ie may have considered, just for a second, making them fully colored 8bit sprites like Ertbound but then thought to himself "Vgh, everyone does that" and so he settled on the pawn look instead because it matched his long-running joke about arms. (Which itself is kind of a redflag for a cartoonist if they just don't draw X because they don't know how to make it look good.) Arm posing in default sprites could have also gone a long way in expressing character (think of Jerk City); Hell, the Guardians already do that.

Not saying that there aren't things I like in Act 3 or 4 (and very begrudgingly, 5 and very tentatively, Act 6) but Act 2 is definitely not the "signs of things to come" Act. That's Act 3. Act 2 is the height of kids and fun before Jr. got completely bored of the premise and the limits that he ostensibly imposed on himself.

I realize how repetitive I am about Homestark here. At least right now. I kind of regret posting about it. But I find the echochambers obnoxious; could you imagine how much worse Homestark talk would be if there was more than one of me, saying the same kind of shit over and over?

I have to distance my brain before this becomes a Homestark day.

This is a truly torturous read. None of it is original or creative and it appeals to simplistic emotional urges. It drags on and on. Liking art and then being disappointed it's AI is such a gay
SMURFING way to exist. It makes me ask questions about YOU.
Genning stuff is fun because people don't deserve to live off "Uh…. draw boobs", there's sometimes deranged shit people come up with that no artist would touch and, it can help real artists brainstorm shit. All of this babbling is myopic and infantile, it's mind-numbing. Slop existed before, outsourcing that was basically slavery existed before, soulless art existed before, it's just a boogeyman.

>>4485>Liking art and then being disappointed it's AI is such a gay SMURFING way to exist.I agreed with that part, I feel the same way. I think because there's no creative vision behind AI art and you can tell it's just generic anime girl in generic pose, so it doesn't convey much feeling. I don't think it's impossible in theory for generative AI to do everything a human artist does, but there are some aspects of art which are impossible to represent with text, so AI can't generate them. If I couldn't distinguish AI art at a glance I wouldn't care that much, but I usually can (even now that it's a lot more technically skilled), which suggests something is still missing from AI art.
That said I do follow a couple of AI art accounts and I think they can be decent if you make a unique/consistent style and curate discerningly enough.
