post aside, where's the AI bot that tracks any given fictional character and attributes it to the user's given text based on dialogue and tone/content analysis or whatever. That's paydirt.
Wait, let me try something real quick. (-1

Huh, I thought it'd go for Shinji but I guess that requires a nuanced reading that AI brain isn't capable of.

         FROM THE DESK OFROSE LALONDE
The world we lost was not lost by chance. It was annihilated because it was too beautiful, too ordered, and too noble for the enemies of Life to endure.
Kunst in Deutschland 1933–1945 runs four volumes: two volumes of Malerei (Painting), Architektur (Architecture), and Skulpturen (Sculpture).
I spent months hunting down these books, long before algorithms made men forget how to seek. Each volume weighs over five pounds, heavier than the hollow hearts of modern men. At over 2,000 pages, and containing more than 1,000 high-gloss plates on coated art paper, many of them full-page; it features biographies of every featured artist, printed in German, English, and French for the Europa to come of a hundred flags, but one will.
This is a record of a people who believed the human body was not a site of shame, but a temple of race-soul, an icon of cosmic form made visible.
Here, the spirit of a civilization carved itself into stone, line, and light.
Beauty like this was not forgotten; it was anathematized by a rootless race forever incapable of creating it, and thus driven to destroy it. The architects of Eternal Nuremberg saw in this sacred symmetry their mortal enemy because it revealed the truth, and parasites cannot abide revelation.
They smothered the host, poisoned the well, and called the ruins justice. - RL  No.162126

Things I think I can do, like Starscream, because of high pitch range and lots of vocal fry don't sound like Starscream. Because I tried to do Starscream. Actively workshopped it for like, 30 minutes. Which isn't very long in the grand scheme of things but it is for me and you would think if my vocal range was a natural fit for it, I would have eventually gotten it right.
Surely, they don't need to practice, right? It feels like everyone has a handful of good impressions in their back pocket and I'm not one of them.

That's a fun question! The answer depends entirely on your perspective, but here are a few ways to look at it:
### 1. The Literal Answer
It is not any year except for the current one. As of today (assuming 2025), it is not 2024, 1920, 1492, or any other year in the past or future.
### 2. The "Notable Years" Answer
Here are some famous years that it is definitely not:
* 1066: The year of the Norman Conquest of England.
* 1776: The year the United States declared independence.
* 1969: The year humans first landed on the moon.
* 2000: The turn of the millennium.
### 3. The Philosophical Answer
* It is not the year you were born (unless it's your birthday today).
* It is not a year in the future that hasn't happened yet.
* It is not a year from your personal past that you can never fully return to.
### 4. The Logical Paradox Answer
It is not "The Year It Is," because that's a circular and impossible state. By definition, the current year is the year it is.
So, while the simplest answer is "every year but this one," the most interesting answer is probably a specific, well-known historical year.

My least favorite thing about Gen-X is their selective treatment of anime and JRPGs. They have near boomer levels of dismissiveness with ad-hoc rationale that comes from a cursory knowledge of the mediums (this is a
g00n thing too for obvious reasons but it's definitely not my least favorite thing about
g00ns.) Basically all of them are like "thing I grew up with + Westernized manime."

Irony poisoning is obviously insufferable and the punk rock total apathy/righteous indignation switch they tend to have is embarrassing but not all of them are like that.
Basically every Gen-Xer is a "Yeah, dude, I don't hate Japanese stuff, I like Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop, Studio Ghibli movies, Final Fantasy 7, Earthbound, and Chrono Cross. Naruto and Evangelion losers need to STFU though." type.
Gen-Xers seem to realize they were born and lived in a weird bubble culturally and seem to treasure what they had as a teenager/young adult with reverence while boomer, millennial, and zoomer nostalgia is all more infantile (slight exception to boomers with jam band culture.) That doesn't make them more mature, at all. I think they just had
SMURF-all to remember in the 70s and want to relive being a teen/young adult to stick it to the man.
They were at the opening of the gates of COOL JAPAN and chose to move on and obsess over 80s blockbusters for the rest of their lives like reasonable adults.

Then again, the worst things about millennials is probably their idolatry for (arbitrarily pasteled the
SMURF up) Japanese media. The Ghibli vein runs deep.

Boomers and zoomers are more complicated but also more obvious. We don't need to talk about that right now.

>THE GAMES ARE GRINDY>SURE, THE OLDER GAMES HAD GRINDS TOO BUT IT JUST WASN'T AS BAD BECAUSE IT WASN'T, OKAY>THAT'S BECAUSE THE STORY WAS BETTER>ALTHOUGH I'LL ADMIT THEY WERE KIND OF STUPID, GENERIC, AND NONSENSICAL>EVEN THOUGH 7 IS OK, IT MADE THE SERIES TOO ANIME>EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ANIME BEFORE, IT WAS LESS ANIME>NOW IT'S THE EVANGELION AND NARUTO KIND OF ANIME TOO, VGHJust the Dante's Inferno of bullshit to explain why he irrationally hates everything he didn't grow up with or is too critically acclaimed to fully dismiss. It legitimately comes off as someone who's incapable of forming sincere opinions on things either because they're too reactionary or just lack all critical thinking s
culls. There's bias and then there's digging your own grave by conjuring up any argument possible just to have something to say.
Maybe it's just literally autism. Same thing with Arin Hanson. Truly baffling people.

Can't really assign a generation to it, though, many were probably millenials. My own boomer parents had like Ranma 1/2 wallscrolls and La Blue Girl on VHS since they were anime fans since speed racer/astro boy days…

Now you probably can't make that statement for its current incarnation because of purity purges but back in the day, it was probably more Gen-X since Internet users skewed older back then and the oldest millennial was 19 (if we're being the most generous with how we date the generations.)
