         FROM THE DESK OFROSE LALONDE
Few works of American fiction have exercised such quiet and devastating influence as Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Published in 1960, at the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement, and carried to mass audiences two years later in a film starring Gregory Peck, it was more than a novel and more than a film. It was propaganda of the highest order, a metapolitical intervention disguised as a gentle tale of childhood, small-town life, and justice denied. Its strength lay precisely in its concealment: it did not preach openly, it did not shout in slogans, but wove its message into the fabric of memory and sentiment, until millions of Whites had been taught to view their own dispossession as an act of nobility.
The genius of “Mockingbird” was not that it was message-driven, but that it was story-driven. Where Christian moralizing films of the Baby Boomer era collapse into sermons with actors, “Mockingbird” gave its audience the intimacy of children’s games, the nostalgia of Depression-era Alabama, the mystery of the recluse Boo Radley, and only then the trial of Tom Robinson. Ninety percent story, ten percent message, and yet the message was unforgettable, for it came not as doctrine but as experience. By the time the verdict fell, the reader had already been instructed in what to feel, not by argument but by immersion in a world carefully designed to leave no defense for the South, for Whites, or for history.
Every narrative device was calculated. Atticus Finch, widowed and thus free of domestic entanglement, appears as the idealized figure of upper-class White self-image: restrained, principled, and untainted by vulgar passion. The accused Negro is crippled, a cotton gin accident having left him with a useless hand, while his accuser is poor White “trash,” whose father is abusive and degraded. The audience is given no articulate voice of White defense, no antagonist who might summon the traditions of Jefferson or the reality of racial conflict. Instead, "racism" is portrayed as the property of the ignorant, the violent, the disreputable. The respectable are already in Atticus’s corner, the jury merely cowed by convention. In this way, the South is condemned not by reasoned debate but by silence, omission, and caricature.
Behind this apparent simplicity stood years of work and the quiet collaboration of elites. Harper Lee’s novel was nursed into being by her editor Tay Hohoff, a wealthy Quaker from Brooklyn who reshaped the raw draft into the polished work that would win the Pulitzer. The effort was long, secretive, and supported by a climate of elite encouragement, for a novel that sanctified racial integration was certain to be rewarded. The Pulitzer, the film adaptation, the reviews in “The New York Times” — all fell into place with the inevitability of a well-managed campaign. In truth, “Mockingbird” was less a solitary act of genius than a collective act of propaganda, the literary equivalent of a strategic bombing raid: long prepared, precisely executed, and devastating in effect.
Its metapolitical power derived from its genre itself. The nostalgic small-town tale, the world of front porches, childhood innocence, and dusty Southern streets, was already familiar to Americans through radio shows, early television, and literature. By embedding the radical claim of racial equality into this genre, “Mockingbird” made it appear not a break from tradition but a fulfillment of it. Civil rights were not presented as disruptive or alien, but as natural, even timeless, something that should have existed all along in the imagined innocence of Maycomb. The future was smuggled into the past, and thus legitimized.
What followed is well known. The Civil Rights Movement, armed with imagery and narrative as much as with law, reshaped American life. The promise of “justice” concealed the reality of dispossession, and the pathos of Tom Robinson’s trial became the template for a thousand tales of victimhood that followed. In the film’s most memorable scene, Blacks stand in the balcony to honor Atticus after the verdict, and Whites were taught to expect the same reverence if only they would betray themselves. They did not receive it, but the damage was done. A generation was taught to look upon its own heritage with shame and to confuse surrender with virtue.
That is the true achievement of “To Kill a Mockingbird.” It was not simply a novel or a film, but a work of metapolitical warfare. Where political speeches fade, where sermons are forgotten, art remains. The book and the film embedded an image into the American consciousness, and that image has endured for decades, more powerful than legislation, more enduring than the rhetoric of presidents. It was propaganda perfected: artful, subtle, unforgettable. And it stands as a warning that until Whites create works equal in artistic force but devoted to their own truth, they will remain prisoners of narratives written for their extinction. - RL  No.160136

         >>160135>It was propaganda of the highest order>Its strength lay precisely in its concealment: it did not preach openly, it did not shout in slogans, but wove its message into the fabric of memory and sentiment, until millions of Whites had been taught to view their own dispossession as an act of nobility. Holy shit, the absolute retardation. The sheer lack of worldly experience required to think that basically all propaganda lacks all narrative convention is astounding.

I guess good satire is something that has some ambiguity to it. Most bad satire makes it incredibly clear what the "point" is. And the kind of bad satire that is messy and unclear (not in the Sinfest way where "we" get pedantic) leads to an incredulity that allows unintentional humor to form. In every way, it's better.
It just reinforces my belief that the best forms of expressing anything always has some ambiguity to it and that's not because it's somehow deceptive or coercive, it's because it actually engages you personally. "Something to think about."

I have stated this numerous times since I have known about Nick Fuentes. He was always an insincere effeminate flip-flopper that would do anything to further his career. He knows that the pendulum only swings until someone grabs it. And the person that is going to stop all of this is a National Socialist. And they will remove him from the country. He knows he's not one of us. What he doesn't know is that I am that National Socialist. I will be taking over this country and creating a true Aryan nation. I am certain most will laugh, but they won't be laughing when I actually do it.

first batch of beforan ancestor designs (2/2)
>Vriska - Lamplady Swansong
>She was blinded in a horrible accident involving a karmic chain of events. Lamplady is a Nightingale reference, but she also carries a lamp because shes on night shift as a nurse. She doesnt need the light to see, it's for her patients. On Beforus, cerulean bloods used their psychic powers more empathically than on Alternia, and were prone to being healers. She got the nickname Swansong because her patients tend to die due to her terrible luck.
>Equius - E%emplar Danklook
>As an indigo blood he has to set a good example for his lessers. He's exemplary, a sexy model citizen, but has a secret life in the voids of society. Nobody knows what this means, and nobody wants to.
>Feferi - Shepherd Constern
>Called Shepherd Constern, or just The Constern for short, but is more formally known as Her Imperilous Consternation. Consternation is a title due to the great worry and concern she has for her lessers, which she and all her ruling predecessors must take great responsibility for. Her hair is shaped like Gl'bgolyb and random trolls get stuck in it but she doesn't notice. Shepherd is her formal title, which is 8 letters per the ancestor convention on both Beforus and Alternia. However the corresponding title for the Condesce was never revealed. It was actually Winnower Condesce, which means someone who thins the herd, as opposed to taking care of it. But the Condesce viewed this title as awkwaaard, and made it illegal to call her that.
