It's fun on its own but a lot of the mechanical "wow" factor and gameplay is just… cheese. You can cheese most problems and if you can't, it's a pretty tedious set-piece (ALSO RUINED VIDEOGAMES.)
If your big mechanical advancement ultimately just leads to "cheese", you've kind of failed as a game dev. Because if the player's creative solution is ultimately at odds with the videogame, the creator, you've created something that makes itself incredibly obvious that it's a videogame- and that's bad for the gaming experience. You shouldn't have to be at war with your audience.
