Ukrainian children are being displayed online like products. This must stop! The Russian occupation administration has launched a chilling online catalog of Ukrainian orphans, displayed openly on the web. These children are presented like products in an e-commerce store, sortable by age, gender, eye and hair color, health status, and even personality traits. Their faces are shown in clear, uncovered photos, with no evidence that consent was obtained from legal guardians to share this sensitive information. This isnât a new tactic. Since 2014, Ukrainian children have appeared in Russian adoption databases. However, since 2022, the practice has become widespread and systematic. Initially, Russian authorities tried to cover their tracksâshutting down registries and erasing references. Now, the pretense is gone. The official website of the so-called "ministry" of the Luhansk occupation administration brazenly displays this data for all to see. These children are not âwar orphans.â They had names, families, and Ukrainian citizenship. Many lost their parents to shelling. Others were forcibly taken and re-registered with new documents. Now, theyâre being matched with Russian families, treated like animals in a pet adoption database. Letâs be clear: This is not adoption. This is not care. Today marks the 5th anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing during the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban. Despite at least 24 hoursâ notice of intelligence suggesting an attack specifically at Abbey Gate, Pentagon reports under Biden declared the attack was "not preventable at the tactical level without degrading the mission to maximize the number of evacuees,â absolving all of responsibility for a suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members.
In non-Orwellian terms, that statement means that 13 U.S. service members were sacrificed so that we could get as many Afghans into the US as possible. We sent troops overseas and into harm's way to essentially do immigration work for evacuees, the majority of whom were males who had no interest in fighting the Taliban at all but had every interest in taking the free ticket to America.
And how were we repaid by these evacuees for whom we sacrificed? Well, on November 26, 2025, one of them killed Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and nearly killed Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe, members of the Virginia National Guard, while outside the White House. Many others planned similar terrorist attacks here and, by the grace of God, were prevented from executing them.
These Biden-era appointees need to be held accountable for the deaths of Staff Sergeant Darin Hoover, Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo, Sergeant Nicole Gee, Corporal Hunter Lopez, Corporal Daegan Page, Corporal Humberto Sanchez, Lance Corporal David Espinoza, Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz, Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum, Lance Corporal Dylan Merola, Corpsman Maxton Soviak, and Staff Sergeant Ryan Knauss.
But this was very âpreventable.â We had no reason to conduct the mission in the first place, as it was a mass evacuation of people who clearly had no interest in stopping the Taliban from taking over their country. We had even less reason to decide to maximize the number of evacuees at the expense of our troopsâ safety.
