Kind of metalcore. Where's that gothic bassline, bwos? The groove is kind of overriding the gothicness and believe me, I've heard better fusions where it's got sort of a gothic groovy vibe. It's low-tempo for me but it's not slow enough for this kind of fusion.

This being compared to CoF does not set my expectations high but I know the metal brain is schizophrenic and often puts 4/10s next to 8/10s because they're vaguely similar in musical elements. I'll give it props for staying in the gothic realm without devolving into synth Hell. That doesn't say much, absolutely. It just does relatively with this stanky genre. It also doesn't help that all the other bits- symphonic, metal, groove, need work. Lot of unnecessary swears too, calm down. I like hearing violins but not enough to ignore everything else. I really wish the vocals were lower in the mix but the songs are kind of built around that and that's where most of the "groove" comes from. I still think I'd enjoy it more otherwise.
There are some standout tracks or really, "elements" that I wish they focused on more. I'm not sure if this is the problem of the music being too broad (in genres) or too specific (in who it'd specifically appeal to.) Let's just say there are certain cool noises I wish they had focused on. Was it worth the wait? No. Is it something I've never heard before or I'll never hear again? Also, no. It's pretty groove-heavy and I've heard a lot of that "lately." Is it worth remembering? Yeah. It's not completely terrible. Goth metal being good is something that's especially tantalizing because you can feel it running through your fingers whenever you try to grasp it.
I would also say the lyrics are pretty bad because unfortunately, I can understand them.
