I thought about Homestuck last night and how the time travel was very likely meant to facilitate dying a bunch of times as a joke on how many times you die in adventure games like the ill-begotten life mechanic in Problem Sleuth. (We're still up in the air on whether Hu¢¢ie actually has any notable experience with that but whatever.)
What I don't get is that there's barely even an attempt at this in the comic proper. This all comes back to Davesprite being the first moment of a person time-traveling in the comic and it being so fucking weird. But then we have the Dave being killed by SS which you would think would be a start to something or have some sort of significance- but it doesn't. And its timeline is sort of just completely forgotten about and not explored like Davesprite's though you would think the FADING would occur. Now, this was was when user suggestions were still a thing but, why do it? Why not just shut him down in the million ways you've shut down other requests? The greatest part about all of this is that it serves as a justification for Dave to think "ok maybe i shouldnt use my time travel" which we get a complete fucking rerun of in Act 5 Act 2. Real character growth. Dave definitely was spinning his fucking wheels the second he sliced up those puppets.

Also, I was wondering legitimately, does Rose's ability to timeline hope constitute more of a Seer of Light or Witch of Space's territory. I would say it's the latter. Let me explain why. Remember how Prospit and Derse were, initially, portrayed as these transitional worlds between the game and the world outside of it (or rather created by it) and that they exist pre-entry? Let's say, the Kid's houses/planets and the Battlefield? There's a lot in the earlier Acts (and some in the later Acts) that imply that the dream planets are place where a sort of multiversal subconscious is present through Horrorterror whispers and Skaian clouds (again, this distinction is later shafted over to The Veil/The Medium) Rose's ability to memoryhop into her dreamself being a Seer of Light thing only makes sense with a conceptualization of the Alpha Timeline that's only fully established by Act 6.
I read it more as Rose being able to MANIPULATE her understanding through a shared atemporal SPACE. And she can't do this with DD Dave because lolololol, IDC- the rationale for why is loose and stupid. But let's say that this is a fundamental thing that a Time and Space player can do if a Time player leaves their timeline and is then doomed to die somehow (which is established fairly(?) early), this memory trick. That would be a fairly neat combo and actually explain why the game requires both of them. Oh, yeah, froghunting is important but that's not Time and Space, that's a Knight and Space, and Dave just happens to be two of the most important things, LOL. In the current incarnation of Homestuck, "a creation mythos with lots of time travel", what the fuck is a Space player needed for other than FUCKING FROGS (which we write in to include an arbitrary class as being necessary because
