For 70 years, the specter of Kubel's Pillory has enshrouded the globe as a mysterious, incurable death sentence.
This is a tale of the struggles of the two Absolvers who determined that the dreaded mortal illness afflicting the world was, in fact, a "curse," and propagated the method of its dispelling.
And thus, this is the tale that leads to the events in The Curse of Kubel.

So! You must be curious, right?

[Synopsis]
Liedna - (Player Character, Humiliation Focus)
-Possessed by a sadistic spirit, subject to merciless verbal reproach and shame play
-Disgraceful, permanent status effects that are active in both dungeons and town
-Saving virginity for her crush (at player's discretion)

Flambery - (NTR Focus)
-Strong will, forced into obedient submission as the antagonists gain leverage
-Initially detests NTRman's trashiness, may gradually, lustily succumb and fall from grace
-Real-time infidelity while her disciple is dungeon crawling

Twice the all-too-fallible heroines, twice the predatory villains, twice the tender True Feelings, like four times the flashbacks!
This time, much effort has been spent painting the picture of a happy home that is then slowly picked apart. Shall we call it Domestic Horror?
Indulgently enough, the introduction has swollen to ten times that from The Curse of Kubel. As such, this work cannot be recommended to the following people:

>Gentleman seeking instant gratification

Like Kubel, it could be easily 90 minutes before any panties come down.
>Gentleman unmoved by setting, heroine's mindset, etc.
Digest Mode is provided to help summarize the the introduction.
>Gentlemen hoping to enjoy pitched RPG battles
Like Kubel, enemies are destroyed on contact. Instant defeat.
>Gentlemen with low tolerance for lengthy, myriad, non-erotic event scenes.
Fatal incompatibility. A barrage of text is approaching at high speed. Run while you can!

[Regarding Trial Version]
This demo contains 10 H-scenes, but is mostly focused on necessary plot events. The choice to either debase or redeem the situation will be left to the player in the full game, but the intro is quite on rails. You could see this demo as a Visual Novel wearing RPG Maker skin.

Caught any bugs? Ttttypos? Happen to imagine a particular "classpect" for one of the characters? If you do happen to play, please share your thoughts!

Well, uh…
Actually, even on /vg/, not really. Kubel already has an unenviable reputation there for being loquacious, small in scope, linear, etc, so not many anons leapt at the chance to try a demo that plays into its excesses. There are a handful of devotees, of course. One anon did multiple walltexts extolling the virtues of Viscaria, which I love to see.

But I'm largely fine operating in an unabashedly selfish manner, doing what my whims command. If anyone else gets enjoyment out of it, all the better.

Such as…?

I do hate to be a salesman, so I'll abstain from being pushy.
Now, this may be the contrarian in me talking, but I feel like gushing over something you're fond of can be counterproductive. Aside from exciting the natural 'channer tendency to go "But that's wrong, you retard!" in response, I already know Yasagure Kitsuenjo games can miss the mark among many. Hence the big disclaimer in my original post!

To speak briefly to Viscaria's credit, however, I find Manuri's writing eminently thoughtful, the main heroines charming, nearly every character has something to empathize with, and Mahit0's art excites me.
But don't take my word for it — one's taste in eroge can be as idiosyncratic as one's taste in women. You can only learn what suits you best through personal experience, geheheh…

Anyways, it's up, and it's free. Consider me the delivery boy; the act of claiming it or not is up to you.

For the way you describe this, sounds like hot dogshit, holy shit.

Really? That bad? I'll take your comment as a grain of imageboard-style abrasiveness…

Ahem. Alongside my personal self-restraint, I tried to capture the direct and slightly self-deprecating tone of the original DLsite page to make it clear that this is not a work for everyone. Still, I honestly think it's a lovely start, even if the H-scenes could be more concise in many places.

I don't want to sell Viscaria short, either, so maybe some edits to the OP are in store.

[Doutei's Secrets] have updated!

Also, reupped, should be the same directory and everything for games-in-progress

I'm kinda leaning more toward "Unbinding" than "Absolvement" these days, as the title goes.
Ah well, far too late to change it. Maybe Kagura Games an use that one in 2029

Damn. This has to be one of the most disconcerting threads I've ever seen. It felt like my entire perception of reality seized up and the ego piloting my flesh automaton nearly resigned its duties on grounds of apparent incompetence. What the hell. Of all people to be such an enthusiastic fan of Kubel and Viscaria, it's the current admin of Homestuck general? Life really comes at you fucking fast. I like to employ the phrasing "real recognizes real" as of late since it does seem to be a consistently proven fact of reality, but this takes the fucking cake.

Nice prose by the way. Everyone knows Hussie is a wordsmith but I think people don't respect the true degree of his skill. Your writing has clearly echoes his playful tone and rustic allusions juxtaposed with intentionally crude modern neologisms, although it may be reductive to say so.

I hope you've killed yourself by now.

Rude! I thought it was a lovely post.

Thank you very much! Viscaria does remind me of Homestuck, given the amount of callbacks and foreshadowing of future ironies that are woven into the work. Not to mention the constant delays as the size of the cast is tripled…

You may have noticed, but I couldn't resist mixing little Homestuck references in, either, like choosing "Juju" as the English phrasing of 呪物.
