I guess I forgot but "manic gremlin" is the other troonsona that Evangelion doesn't tap into. The Rebuilds have Mari but she's kind of weaksauce.
Really, you can associate them all with Woodstock characters. Roxy is the Devil-may-care badass slob, Aradia (gh0st) is the hypercompetent mooncalf (though she lacks the pathos of Rei and Lain so basically nobody gives a shit to kin as her), Vriska is the BPDemon and yeah, she's definitely a troon magnet as is, and Terezi is the manic gremlin (or at least, she's supposed to be, the comic doesn't really play to that too well but the fan conception of her is enough of that for to unfortunately be almost as TRICKSTER kinned as Vriska)

>>34208>I think Hitler has transcended existence. If this is your case for defending Tats's willful ignorance of basic political truths then it's pretty weak.

I think just about everyone can agree on some political truths on Hitler without upsetting revisionists of either stripe. Hitler was a national supremacist first and foremost. Then, a genuine anti-Semite and racial supremacist second (though this would have been politically convenient so some might contest this.) I highly doubt anyone would object to these two things. Furthermore, Hitler was more of a pragmatist than an ideologue as basically any leader of a "party government" tends to be. You can see this in the diversity of thought in the Nazi Party. Though, again, like just about every government party leader, there were ideological purges. But this was mostly a means of consolidating power (this might upset Hitlerists or other Nazi types but you could always make the argument that this was completely necessary and people like Röhm were legitimate threats to Hitler's aims and/or greater ideological purity.)
Does anyone really object to this?

The exact ratio of Machiavellians to genuine political actors in the Nazi Party is more contentious. But neither Nazi Germany nor the post-war Allies had such a vicegrip on reality that truth became an illusion. The Nazi Party ruffled enough feathers in Germany that you had historic, measured accounts of dissent by people who had no real reason to explicitly lie.
Don't you believe literally every negative account on the USSR?

I'm feeling like musing on Evangelion for a second. Obviously I'm going to defer to Woodstock as my example- with that, if people think it's any level of good, they should have their media literacy discounted because they lack "proper viewer expectations" of any kind. If they're lukewarm, they didn't really care. If they loved it, they're complete fandumb sheeple who would never willingly leave Mr Bones's Wild Ride. I feel like Eva is a similar litmus test but nostalgia, emotional hang-ups, and contrarianism… Nothing really feels right to say about either side.

I feel like a deeper dive is required into the show and its development is required to answer if all the discourse is meaningful or not- I've dipped my toes. Woodstock should be an obvious-from-the-offset thing as a "No" and I feel like people should be better at recognizing that kind of thing. Then again, saying that would irritate a group of people who don't think anything (or at least Woodstock) deserves that sort of hand-waving. And I do, in part, try to dig into the authorial intent of Woodstock even if I don't think it's remotely coherent or "effective" or good, whatever you want to call it. Here I go again. I'll stop.

Getting an idea for an hgame. Things posted in this thread kind of sparked it in my head. Game where you're like an apprentice to a spellsword serious knight lady, and you come from some kind of family that prevents her from reprimanding you. Basically, you have to balance learning from her while also occasionally doing things like pinching her cheeks or smacking her butt. If things get too pervy, it's game over. You have to find a balance between your duties and goofy acts (you're trying to get her to lighten up, not molest her). Your character is meant to grow into a capable man while melting the woman's icy heart.

BRICS shills.
>But neither Nazi Germany nor the post-war Allies had such a vicegrip on reality that truth became an illusion."Say that this version of history is correct or we'll send you to jail and/or kill you" is pretty much a "vice grip".
>The Nazi Party ruffled enough feathers in Germany that you had historic, measured accounts of dissent by people who had no real reason to explicitly lie.Never said they didn't.
>Don't you believe literally every negative account on the USSR?Now you're just making shit up about me as an attack. I've actually met people who lived under the Communist bloc and they didn't have reason to lie either. I think I'll trust them over, say, Hasan Piker.
Just about everyone who defends Warsaw Pact society (as a whole - I will concede that there were SOME good things about it, but not many) falls into one of three categories:

>>34311>Way to miss the point that the vast majority are also "ignorance of basic political truths".The first sentence of what you originally said seemingly implied that Hitler was beyond analysis or investigation. None of this addresses what I said about Hitler so I'm assuming you don't disagree with any of it. I will repeat that I don't think the vast majority of people disagree with what I said. I also don't think the vast majority of people believe that Hitler strongly supported Germanic paganism (which Tats does or at least pretends is the case or pretends he strongly enabled it or whatever) nor do the vast majority of people believe that Hitler or the Nazi Party were strongly or deeply Christian. In that sense, public perception is somewhat nuanced since either of those perceptions would be easy to push as a narrative about radicalized "Western culture" but public perception says that Nazi Germany was largely secular with some fringe pagan and occult elements. Even if just by the slimmest of margins, public perception is more nuanced than what I think (YOU) like to believe.
Which I guess begs the question of whether or not you want Hitler to "transcend existence" for whatever reason.
>Noone can agree and everyone is upset.About the things I said?
>"Say that this version of history is correct or we'll send you to jail and/or kill you" is pretty much a "vice grip".But people have still said otherwise and been recorded as such. That's not the kind of thing that pushes anything into a "post-truth" state.
>Never said they didn't.So how has Hitler transcended existence then…?
>Now you're just making shit up about me as an attack.I'm just being deliberately uncharitable as a transition to say that none of this matters because Tatsuya conversations are pointless (you just happened to make an interesting though decidedly silly point.) This sends you on a tangent about the thing you hate when this is about the veracity of history in general. You must have realized that I implied that nothing about the USSR widely acknowledged as being true could be completely fabricated as well. And yet you felt the need to corroborate this.

Alex wanted to make a cool game with his characters. He got to cash out and still have a career, but he still had his life's work ripped away from him and shat on by people for open contempt for it.
Mike was a genuine believer in wokeism and censorship and wanted to virtue signal his political ideals. He ended up with the cancel culture guns turning on him and now he's remembered as a racist and a sex pest, unanimously hated by his former colleagues.
And Mariel wanted to turn a profit, but her censorship failed to get the age rating lowered like she intended, and she burned so much goodwill that she couldn't raise money on kickstarter for the game she actually wanted to make.
And Zone-sama, who wanted to draw tentacle porn and cancelled multiple projects to work on Skullgirls, just straight up got struck blind by God.

But now people think he's a martyr.
>He didn't get burned by "cancel culture guns turning on him," his coworkers were just jealous and insane, especially after that dumb RPG flopped. That's the thing, cancel culture often has an ulterior motive. Mike was a true believer, Mariel's beef with him wasn't ideological. She merely used cancel culture as a tool to

Mike anticipated this and retained the right to simply fire anyone who tried this against him, which he did, but Mariel went one level higher and got the publisher to hand her the rights instead. He simply got outplayed.

I wonder if there's a solution to voice acting in modern story heavy games. I always feel bad if I accidentally skip a dialogue box because the VAs worked hard on delivering all this dialogue, but at the same time, I read way faster than they can talk and I'm used to old RPGs where I can zoom through text. I think the Disgaea 1 approach might be best where you only have spoken dialogue for important events, and then most of the game is just stuff you can breeze through reading

FROM THE DESK OFROSE LALONDE
Today marks the 5th anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing during the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban. Despite at least 24 hours’ notice of intelligence suggesting an attack specifically at Abbey Gate, Pentagon reports under Biden declared the attack was "not preventable at the tactical level without degrading the mission to maximize the number of evacuees,” absolving all of responsibility for a suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members.
In non-Orwellian terms, that statement means that 13 U.S. service members were sacrificed so that we could get as many Afghans into the US as possible. We sent troops overseas and into harm's way to essentially do immigration work for evacuees, the majority of whom were males who had no interest in fighting the Taliban at all but had every interest in taking the free ticket to America.
And how were we repaid by these evacuees for whom we sacrificed? Well, on November 26, 2025, one of them killed Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and nearly killed Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe, members of the Virginia National Guard, while outside the White House. Many others planned similar terrorist attacks here and, by the grace of God, were prevented from executing them.
These Biden-era appointees need to be held accountable for the deaths of Staff Sergeant Darin Hoover, Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo, Sergeant Nicole Gee, Corporal Hunter Lopez, Corporal Daegan Page, Corporal Humberto Sanchez, Lance Corporal David Espinoza, Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz, Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum, Lance Corporal Dylan Merola, Corpsman Maxton Soviak, and Staff Sergeant Ryan Knauss.
But this was very “preventable.” We had no reason to conduct the mission in the first place, as it was a mass evacuation of people who clearly had no interest in stopping the Taliban from taking over their country. We had even less reason to decide to maximize the number of evacuees at the expense of our troops’ safety. Deliberate decisions were made to sacrifice our service members specifically to bring to America even more people who do not belong here. - RL No.34575

Even still, the term was still relatively useful because stuff like Francoist Spain, Estado Novo Portugal, and Pinochet's Chile were up for debate on whether they counted or not (though in retrospect, I and most academics now agree that they weren't really fascist.)
This conversation started with me calling people dubbing heavy-handed populist man "fascist" silly with the implicit understanding that most people throwing around fascist in CURRENT YEAR are silly. The fact that you've managed to pivot it into somehow being a "me vs them" because you said fascism became meaningless before self-described fascist governments fell and now "I" throw around fascism too much (this might just be you sucking at talking) because I don't trust a quote from a stupid, boring man just because he lived in the past is really a marvel.
Why this bothers you is confusing because you're a literal Nazi and you don't really give a shit about healthy political discourse (you can deny this if you feel the need to for some reason.) If I had to read into it, it's more of the persecution complex coming through. You're mad that your meme ideology is used as a pejorative because it means people don't take you seriously and automatically think less of you. There's also the incredibly petty element of you not wanting to be associated with the likes of Cheeto Hitler which is always funny. It's really warped priorities if you want to be given good faith. I think justifying why billions must die is of upmost importance when it comes to optics. But you don't care about that, you want to be viewed as extreme and things that undermine your severity make you feel silly. But you are silly. Just because you're some other retard's boogeyman doesn't make you any less silly.

I want to say I'd rather live in a Middle Eastern or African shanty town instead of India. Though if I was forced to make that choice, I don't know if I'd actually commit. The promise of POTENTIALLY higher standard of living is appealing though I think I'd regret every second I'd spend in India.

>>34856>>34858>>34859That solves the immediate problem but I wonder how I'd actually be able to make a living. I have a low opinion on Indian government and socioeconomics. In some bum
smurf place, you'd always have a job to do, basically, and you'd just kind of persist on that until you randomly die from something terrible. Would it be worth it to be a Panaji hobo?

>(perhaps coordinated)There's been developments on like, a monthly basis whether it be public statements or the stupid podcast so it does feel like they're trying to maintain fandom momentum for a time. Probably not for the sake of Woodstock threads on 4chan but we do know that Hu¢¢ie gives a shit about the optics for literally everyone and can't live down any criticism. I'm waiting for the day when he actually does try to "take a weird racist to court" and it's Makin or Phoebe or whatever and they make everything public.
